The Big Boys Had Big Fun Too!

The Fun at Campmeeting Continues

Phillip insisted on having his own "book" to sing the hymns.

What a golden secret treasure Lumpkin Campground is! My kids have run themselves silly with fun, and I think Jimmy and I are right behind them. I don't think Phillip has ever been so dirty in his whole short little life!

campmeeting

Well I think we're official Dawsonville-ians. Nothing says small town in the south like summer camp meeting. We spent some time last year while I worked with the kids activities, but last night was our first experience as "insiders". Phillip, Devon, and Tripp had a blast. Just imagine 40+ houses (tents) where the kids are all welcome and a big open field to run around in. I made the mistake of bathing Phillip beforehand. Two diet cokes, a grape sno cone, and a sand box later we had to give him a good scrub again. We'll be back again today!

Puppy

Noel and Phillip are great friends. (Noel is our pound hound lab mix). I just thought I'd mention their funniest moment lately. Phillip had the hose out, but left it on the ground where it made a puddle on the sidewalk. Noel takes the opportunity to lap up a drink. Phillip watches, laughs and proceeds to get down on all fours and "laps" up his own drink. Thank goodness for immune systems!

bathing two under two

Now that Selah can sit up bath time has become more interesting! I tried this operation yesterday and I have to say it worked pretty well. Unfortunately I did not get a shower until 11 that same night. Bummer for Mom.

You know life is good when you can sit on your front porch in your birthday suit, eating an ear of fresh corn and watching the sun go down and the fog settle in. Amen. Yee Haw.

Okay so I know I promised I'd keep the poo stories to a minimum, but as soon as I typed it I had "one of those days". Last night, Phillip is all clean and sweet smelling after his bath. Mind you he had a poopy before his bath so I was confidant in the lasting power of his sweet aroma. Bedtime arrives and I go to rock the little guy to sleep when I discover both his legs, and now my arms, are wet. One sniff eliminated any mystery. Then today at lunch, this was the treat Selah left for us as she was eating her butternut squash and corn. Do other kids have these diaper defying issues???

Why Blog?

So, everyone else has a blog, why shouldn't we? We have MySpace accounts, but a lot of people (especially my daddy) are particularly leery of that whole dealieo. Thus we blogeth. I figure it's a great way to post some funny stories about the kids, some pictures and just general fun about our small town high octane life. I will try to keep the poop stories to a minimum. For some reason when you have two under two poop comes up a lot more in conversation than in a normal person's life. It is also the source of your funniest stories, but I realize not everyone has a potty sense of humor. You might also inquire about our title. Early in my pregnancy with Phillip, Jim coined the nickname "Puppy" and that made Tripp the "Dog". Unfortunately Selah has acquired "Possum" from a game Jimmy plays with her hanging upside down. Poor thing. We just moved all our pics to a maxtore - so until then all I have to choose from is old stuff from Flickr.
